Yet underneath this dynamic is something darker. We’re afraid to be alone because it’s in our aloneness that we truly face what we are – and what we have, so far, failed to become.
The gift of alone-ness cannot be underestimated. It has little (if anything) to do with the number of people that surround you. You can be alone in a crowd of thousands – and many people are. Stop fighting your alone-ness, and instead, embrace it and listen to its message. In your deep inner silence you see the “face that you had before you were born.” This is who you are in your essence.
