Peace Of Mind

Summary:

In our youth, wealth connotes only one thing – cash. That’s because we have bills to pay and family expenses like the mortgage. Only when we’re older do we grasp the true meaning of wealth consciousness – peace of mind.

When you’re 20, wealth is mostly,
having cash in your near-empty  pocket.

When you’re 30, it’s the same,
because there are bills, there’s the mortgage.

Then you hit 40, wealth is still cash,
hopefully though your debts are paid – almost.

You get older and wealth is now different,
you look back and wonder,
was I really wealthy, or just pretending?

We labor towards quantity,
forgetting about the need for quality.

Wealth consciousness goes beyond the material,
it’s nudged on a higher plane, begging…
for us to see, but we really don’t.

Only in our twilight years,
do we grasp its real meaning,
wealth consciousness is – truly peace of mind.
