Strong Again


Summary: 

When we overcome guilt, our gaze is turned upwards and we reach out, eager for contentment. Our hearts will beat more vigorously when guilt is no longer around. You want to help others but you know you must help yourself first.

Guilt has left me alone now, Strong Again
I need to pick up the pieces,
my hand reaches out for contentment.

I hear my heart beat,
it beats stronger with guilt gone.

My eyes face heaven,
guilt has left me distraught, dismayed,
but I am healing…guilt is slowly fading.

I cannot please everyone,
I have my own battles to fight,
I cannot help you without helping myself,
let me overcome guilt and be strong again.

My conscience is clear,
what more can I ask?
My guilt shall not destroy my will.
